GRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMME
University of Rijeka, Faculty of Maritime Studies is the most important institution of higher education in the field of maritime affairs in the Republic of Croatia. During its work, a great number of top experts have been trained. Students who graduated from the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Rijeka have been proven to be competitive on a demanding international maritime market, which is the result of regular planning, harmonization and implementation of study programs following the recent trends in global MET.

Study programs are developed at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels. The lower level of study always creates the preconditions for the enrolment into a higher level.

The Faculty of Maritime Studies currently delivers five undergraduate study programs (3 years - six semesters - 180 ECTS – BSc):

1. Marine Engineering (Croatian page),
2. Marine Electronic Engineering and Information Technology (Croatian page),
3. Logistic and Management in Maritime Industry and Transport (Croatian page),
4. Nautical Studies and Maritime Transport Technology (Croatian page),
5. Technology and Organization of Transport (Croatian page),

and five graduate study programs (2 years - four semesters - 120 ECTS - MSc):

1. Marine Engineering and Maritime Transport Technology (Croatian page),
2. Marine Electronic Engineering and Information Technology (Croatian page),
3. Logistic and Management in Maritime Industry and Transport (Croatian page),
4. Nautical Studies and Marine Transport Technology (Croatian page),
5. Technology and Organisation of Transport (Croatian page),

All undergraduate and graduate studies at the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Rijeka are conducted in Croatian. In order to attend one of these programmes, a student must prove the formal knowledge of the Croatian language. It is also necessary to fulfil the general requirements for undergraduate and graduate studies (see https://www.studij.hr) and the specific requirements for the study programme that the student wants to apply for.

In the Erasmus + program, foreign students are offered courses (in English) from all five study programs that are being conducted at the undergraduate and graduate level. Until the present date, more than 12,500 graduates have graduated from the Faculty, coming from all over the Republic of Croatia and from more than 24 countries worldwide.
